not in my department。也可以说 not my department，意思一样。想推掉不属于自己的责任、不想被卷进麻烦，说这句既明确又不撕破脸。
the underdog。原指斗狗里弱势的那只，现在指比赛、竞争里不被看好的一方，也可以指生活中受欺负、处境不利的人，带一点同情。
多半是反讽。字面夸「老实得不能再老实」，用在赌场、酒吧这种地方，其实是在调侃对方：这地方当然不算老实。听懂这层弦外之音，才懂这句玩笑。
put it down as 是「把它记作、就当作」。整句意思是「就当是给爱情送的一份礼」。里克放走一对小情侣，嘴上说是给爱情献礼，其实是嘴硬心软。
