伊尔莎深夜从街上摸上楼，来求里克把通行证交出来，好让丈夫拉斯洛离开卡萨布兰卡。里克明明知道她来意，还酸她一句 We're back in Paris（咱们又回到巴黎了）。她放低姿态，说 put your feelings aside（先把个人感情放一放），里克却回 It's no deal（免谈），并说 I'm the only cause I'm interested in（我唯一在乎的就是我自己）。她气得骂他 coward and a weakling（胆小鬼、懦夫），他干脆说 Go ahead and shoot（开枪吧），还说这算帮了他一个忙。想学谈判式哀求、翻脸羞辱、以死相逼的台词，这几句都够狠。
