get used to it。别人感叹世道荒唐、日子难过时，用它回一句，意思是别抱怨了，这样的事以后还多，学着适应。语气有点无奈又有点认命。
是爱尔兰说法，等于「把我吓了一大跳」，字面像「把心横过来」。片里孩子突然冲进屋，把正在上厕所的托尼叔叔吓得铅笔都掉了。
字面是苏格兰的雾，口语里常用来指「空话、什么都没有」。台词 And pay for it with what, Scotch mist? 就是在呛对方：拿什么付，喝西北风吗？
bloody。英式口语里它常当加强语气的形容词，You just heard the bloody news 就是「你刚没听见那该死的新闻吗」。日常里偏粗，正式场合别用。
