開場是 V 的低語：思想不會流血，不會疼，可他真正想念的是一個人。鏡頭一轉，電視裡的主持人煽動民眾，一句 in the name of（以……之名）就讓人去仇恨，一句 It's high time（早就該……了）把報復說成正義。想看懂漂亮話怎麼包裝惡意，這幾句最值得先聽。

V 的低語拉開影片：人們被要求記住思想而不是人，因為人會失敗、會被抓、會被殺、會被遺忘，而思想不會流血也不會疼，可他想念的偏偏是一個人。接著電視上的煽動節目裡，主持人把美國罵得一無是處，一句 in the name of（以……之名）把仇恨說成正義，一句 It's high time（早就該……了）催人馬上動手，還丟擲一句 payback time（該算賬的時候到了）。最後在宵禁的街上，伊芙被「手指人」攔住，對方甩下一句 spare the rod（孩子不打不成器）就要動手。in the name of 講藉口和旗號，high time 催人行動，payback time 用在報復和討債的場合。
