下一章 · 13shed a tear掉眼泪这场戏：劝她一起远走高飞指「沉默守则、封口规矩」，源自黑帮或同乡之间不告密的不成文规矩。剧里探员嘲笑道格那套爱尔兰式的沉默守则，说它迟早会垮掉。
可以说 a rat。剧里用一整段设问引出它——把秘密出卖给警方、害同伴入狱的人，在街区的说法里就是 a rat（叛徒）。
lift a print。剧中有人说 We lifted a print off the van，就是从面包车上提取到一枚指纹，这个说法也常用在别的物证上。
本意是「跳房子」，指小孩的游戏。剧中探员说 This isn't townie hopscotch anymore，意思是这不再是本地小孩闹着玩的小事，语气很重。
是斩钉截铁的拒绝：没有交易，没有妥协。剧中探员用它堵死道格协商或合作减刑的可能，配合前面「你会死在监狱里」的警告。
