车里，分完赃的两个人立刻翻脸，一个满脸是血地嚷着自己中枪、出生入死，另一个闷不吭声，最后只靠一句 are we square（两清了吗）收场。另一头，玛吉在返程路上接到电台通报，一眼认出目标车辆，喊出 There's the car（那辆车！）。想干脆地了断合作、查案时找人，这两句都用得上。

车上，两个绑匪为分赃吵得不可开交：一个说自己中枪、出生入死才拿回钱，另一个只说这车归谁，双方一句 are we square（两清了吗）才算了断。另一边，玛吉在酒店借外线打电话，随后开车上路；警局通过无线电告诉她，被绑的妻子、以及古斯塔夫森和伦德高都已经上通缉广播，全州都在找。玛吉在穆斯湖一带巡视时突然发现目标车辆，喊出 There's the car（那辆车！）。这段戏把「结账两清」说成 are we square，把「案子有了线索」说成 got a lead on，还顺带教了 over the wire（上了通缉广播）。
A1–C2 是欧标等级。点一个等级后，比它高的卡片会变淡，播放到那里不会自动暂停。

重复喊两遍，追捕那一刻的紧张全挤在嗓子眼里。

突然认出一辆要找的车或人时喊；日常看见熟人也这么说会夸张。

把逃跑说成「躲避采访」，警察的黑色幽默成了这部片的标签。

就是「咱俩两清了吗、账结清了吗」。戏里两个人为钱和车吵完，用这句话确认彼此不再相欠。合伙做事、AA 结账、分完东西都能用。
用 got a lead on。lead 就是「线索」，后面接调查的对象。戏里警局说 we got a lead on this，意思是「我们在这事上有了线索」，查案、找人都能用。
wire 是电传、通讯线路，over the wire 就是「已经通过通讯线路发出去、全州都通报了」。戏里说 it's over the wire，指这两个人的名字已经上了通缉广播，到处都在传。
字面是「你该看看对方那人」，实际是打完架后的得意话：我虽然挂了彩，但对方更惨。戏里有人用这句描述一场冲突，语气带着自嘲和逞强。
用 kidnapped。戏里的案情通报就说 she was kidnapped last Wednesday，意思是「她上周三被绑架」。名词是 kidnapping，新闻里常听到。
用 something's come up。come up 指事情突然冒出来、得临时处理。戏里一句 but something's come up（但是出了点事），常用来推掉约会或解释临时状况。
