用 take advantage of，比如 take advantage of this now 就是「现在抓住这个机会」，也可以说 take advantage of an opportunity。
指「在职、在编」，是某个机构里的正式员工。戏里医生说 there is no one on staff named Ray，就是「我们员工里没有叫雷伊的」。
意思是「就到此为止、别再往下说了」，常用来叫停一个话题。戏里爸爸说画画只是爱好，Would you leave it at that? 就是让对方别再说了。
字面是「政治正确的」，指用词讲究、不得罪人的委婉说法。戏里尼尔讽刺地说，对方用这种委婉的方式说他「看花眼」。
