make an appointment。appointment 是「约定的时间」。台词里说 let's make an appointment，就是「那我们约个时间吧」，看医生、剪头发、办业务都能用。
字面是「脑损伤」，台词里医生干脆说 the procedure is brain damage，是承认这台手术本身就会伤到脑子，只是程度轻。日常也可以夸张地说某事把人搞到 brain damage。
意思是「就像什么都没发生过」。台词说醒来会躺在床上 as if nothing had happened，用的是过去完成时 had happened，因为假设的事比「醒来」还要早，语气像什么都没发生过一样。
「情感内核」，指一段记忆里最动情、最要紧的那部分。医生说 when you eradicate that core it starts its degradation process，就是把核心铲掉，整段记忆就开始瓦解。
