口语里可以夸张地说 zap the fuck out of it。zap 指用射线打，the fuck out of 是「狠狠地、往死里」的加强说法。注意这是粗口，正式场合别用，想客气点可以说 zap it hard。
radiotherapy 是「放射治疗」，用射线杀死癌细胞；scan 指扫描检查，这里医生拿的扫描片就是 scan。淋巴瘤叫 lymphoma。
gut 是「肚子、肠胃」，in my gut 引申为「直觉上、心里觉得」。瓦什蒂说 It doesn't feel in my gut，意思是直觉告诉她安迪不该这么早走。
用 respond to chemotherapy，respond to 就是「对……见效」。医生说这块肿瘤 hasn't responded to chemotherapy，意思是化疗没起效。
