do the math。math 是计算，do the math 就是「自己算算就懂了」。瑞秋说 I did the math，就是「我算过了」。
「一大清早、天刚亮」。crack of dawn 指天边刚裂开一条光，也就是清晨很早的时候。
in a bit of a state。state 在这里指状态、情绪，in a bit of a state 就是有点慌、有点乱，常形容人坐立不安。
「公开记录」，指任何人都能查的官方文件。瑞秋提醒 purchase orders 仍是 public record，意思是这些单据瞒不住人。
get out of my way。这是很直接甚至有点冲的说法，让人马上让开。情绪激动、急着往前冲时常用。
