六个词，不加任何理由，拒绝全部意思都在里面。

回绝带明确对象的要求时用；语气冷静、不留商量余地。

正式

not going to 连读，recalled 重读，整句语调放平收尾。

The decision is not going to be reversed tonight. 这个决定今晚不会更改。

先说做了什么，再宣布它照样成立，一句顶回所有请求。

My ... have been issued, and the ... stand.

宣布已经做出的决定仍然有效时用；公文和正式表态适用。

The orders have gone out and they stand. ／ It is done, and it stays done.

正式

have been issued 连读紧凑，orders stand 两词都重读。

The instructions have been issued, and they stand. 指令已经下达，照旧有效。

把军规当武器使，一句话划出谁说了算。

That does not give you any ... to ...

强调对方没有资格插手时用；对平级也显得强硬。

That gives you no right to question me. ／ You have no standing to overrule this.

正式

Does not 连读，prerogatives 重音在第二音节，orders 收得干脆。

That gives you no right to question this decision. 你没有资格质疑这个决定。

先摆出客气的架子，再把最重的话轻轻放下。

I would say that there was something wrong somewhere.

要对上司或长辈说出难听判断时用；先加缓冲再下结论。

I'd say something went badly wrong here. ／ I'm afraid there is a serious mistake.

正式

I would say 放缓，dreadfully wrong 两个词加重，句尾下压。

I would say there was something wrong with the plan. 我得说这个方案有问题。

一句口语把丑闻的后果说成味道，形象又省字。

It'll cause a stink.

警告某件事会闹出大风波时用；熟人之间比正式警告更生动。

It'll make a scene. ／ It will stir up a real fuss.

口语

It'll 缩读成 itl，cause a stink 三词连读，stink 重读。

If we push this through, it'll cause a stink. 要是硬推这件事，会闹出大乱子。
