指雷达屏幕上出现的一个「光点」，代表一个被探测到的目标。剧里说 I have an unidentified radar blip，就是「我发现一个不明雷达光点」，先确认再判断是什么。
意思是「缩短距离、逼近」。剧里反复说 Missile still closing range，就是「导弹仍在逼近」，range 指距离，closing 是正在缩小，形容威胁越来越近。
cut off。剧里喊 Start lever to cut off! 就是「拉启动杆切断供油」，后面还有 boost pumps off，都是应急关机的口令，日常也能说 cut off the power。
意思是「引爆了」。剧里最后喊 Range: One mile. Missile detonated! 就是「距离一英里，导弹引爆了」，是描述爆炸最正式的一个词。
