字面是「极其流动」，实际是「局面瞬息万变、随时在变」。官员用这个词，常常是在说「情况还没定，别追问我」，是一种搪塞。
是「顶多、最多」。整句是「顶多三四个小时」，用来给个上限、让人安心。问时间、问价格都能用这个词。
可以说 an astonishing opportunity，字面是「惊人的机会」。戏里彼得把彗星撞地球包装成商机，这个词因此带着反讽味道。
字面是「熊猫爪」，指像中国这样的大国用经济手段牢牢攥住别国命脉。原句说 China has her big panda paw firmly on almost all the mines，就是「被中国紧紧攥住」的意思。
