Chapter 14 of 15 · 4'02"
Big Dave wakes up after a drugged night to find he has been filmed with a farmyard pig. His captor is all courtesy — "You're in safe hands now" — and explains that to keep the clip off the internet, he only has to lose interest in Mickey Pearson's future.

He describes a kidnapping as hospitality, and the calm courtesy is the threat.
The chapter has two fronts. In one, an editor and Hammy discuss a hot tip from Fletcher, worth a week's exclusive, with the warning that Fletcher's loyalty goes to the highest bidder. In the other, Big Dave is blackmailed: after a drugged night he is told he made a film with a pig, and that the only way to keep it offline is to drop all interest in Mickey Pearson.
The scene's cruelty is that it never raises its voice. Big Dave is not threatened with violence; he is offered tea, clean clothes, and reassurance — "You're in safe hands now" — while being shown exactly how ruined he is. The film-with-a-pig is the weapon, and the negotiation is polite: press the space bar, watch what you did, and "lose any interest you have in the future of Mickey Pearson." Everything is framed as a favour, from the wet wipes to the hot drink, which is what makes it work. The earlier talk about Fletcher adds a second theme: in this business, allegiance is for sale — "Fletcher's ass belongs to the highest bidder" — and the press are not reporters but a "blood sport."

Now it seems, for this brief moment in time... I've found my way into the film business. Morning, sir. Two cups of tea. One with sugar, one without. All right, lads. Go on, give us a minute. There are some wet wipes there over your shoulder. Your clothes are neatly folded there on the bench. and you're gonna witness your participation in said film. Now, that little drug we gave you last night really loosened up your inhibitions, man. is lose any interest you have in the future of Mickey Pearson. I'm gonna leave you now to clean yourself up. Space bar, yeah. Have a hot drink as well. It might make you feel a little bit better. It was a fucking rough night for you. Enjoy the show.

Big Dave must give up any interest in Mickey Pearson's future. If he does, the clip stays private; if not, it becomes a social media sensation.
Because politeness does the threatening for them. Being offered tea, clean clothes and a hot drink while being told your life is over feels more controlled — and more frightening.
Because his loyalty is for sale — he will work for whoever pays the most. The line warns the boss not to trust the reporter's information.
The blackmail depends on the idea of it more than the image. Big Dave is told he fabricated the scene and can press the space bar to watch it himself, which is the real cruelty.
