有人刚道完行头的歉，话头就转成当面列罪。加上一对翅膀，礼貌被说成会 go out the window（突然全部作废）。一周改成两周，因为 unmitigated gall（毫不打折的厚颜）。想说规矩突然全部作废，或说对方毫不打折的厚颜，这两句就够用。

行头先被当成差错道歉。训斥很快开始：disseminating disbelief（四处散布不信），后面连着扼杀梦想。有人扯到苔丝，插嘴被拦住，反问 Did I look as though I had finished speaking?（我看上去像是已经说完了吗）。再拿警察和消防员作对照，说加上一对翅膀，礼貌就会 go out the window（突然全部作废）。有人说对方居然敢，又毫不打折的厚颜，居然自称牙仙，把他们坚守的一切变成笑柄。go out the window 是礼貌突然全部作废，unmitigated gall 是毫不打折的厚颜，一周因此改成两周。被人打断时，或想说规矩突然不算、脸皮厚到不打折，这几句都能用。

把让人不信说成法庭罪名，句式一本正经，反差就是笑点。

用比较级把有翅膀的人放在更该敬畏的一边，问句逼对方承认自己失礼。

熟人之间提醒失敬可以半开玩笑，对客户会像教训人。

说 unmitigated gall。意思就是毫不打折的厚颜，不是普通的胆子大。训话里用它形容居然自称牙仙，还把他们坚守的一切变成笑柄。
have the nerve 是居然敢，unmitigated gall 是厚颜到不打折。它们叠在同一句：先说居然敢，逗号后再说厚颜到不打折，后者比前者更不收着。
意思是我看上去像是已经说完了吗。它不是泛泛的「看上去好像」。同一句里先声明还没说完，这句反问把那句话再说一遍。被打断时可以用这整句，别拆成 look as though 只记「好像」。
意思是对某人又敬又叹服。有人问：对有翅膀的人，不该比对没翅膀的更 in awe of 吗？more than 比的就是有翅膀和没翅膀。这是敬与叹服，不是在夸翅膀好看。
