lost her mind。lose one's mind 就是「发疯、精神失常」。台词说凯瑟琳 the day she lost her mind，就是「那天她就疯了」。
指「势利眼、爱讲究的人」。维奥莱特说塞巴斯蒂安不是门第或钱财上的 snob，却在美和风度上是个 snob，也就是对品味挑剔到势利。
be charmed by。charm 是「使着迷」，be charmed by someone 就是「被某人迷住」。台词说他也会 be charmed by you，等于「他也会喜欢你」。
carnivores 是「食肉动物」，vegetarians 是「食草、吃素的」。维奥莱特用这两类恐龙做对比：温和吃草的灭绝了，凶猛的食肉者活了下来。
