说 can't bring myself to do it。台词里 I think I should quit my job, but I can't bring myself to do it. 意思是「我该辞职，可就是狠不下这个心」。想说「明知该做却做不到」，就用它。
说 take its toll on someone。台词里 working for him is taking its toll on me emotionally. 意思是「给他干活让我情绪上越来越吃不消」。压力、熬夜、长期消耗都能用。
是 settle。台词里 you're telling me that you're settling. 意思是「你是在告诉我，你打算将就着过」。形容感情里退而求其次、凑合过日子很贴切。
老派说法是 May God strike me dead。台词里 May God strike me dead if I'm lying. 就是「我要是撒谎，就让老天劈死我」。吵架里想证明自己没说谎，可以用这句夸张发誓。
