斯特拉一边给杰夫按背，一边和他隔着后窗聊邻居。两人说到推销员雨夜拎着样品箱进进出出，杰夫判断他是从公寓里往外搬 personal effects（私人物品），说 He's gonna run out on her（他要抛下她跑了）。突然对方从窗口看过来，杰夫喊 Get out of sight!（躲起来！）。想学闲聊八卦的英文，这段很自然。
「抛下她跑了」：run out on（抛下某人）

Speaking of。它常放在句首，接着提起刚聊到的话题，比如 Speaking of misery... 就是「说到凄惨的事……」。
意思是「最终落得、到头来」，后面接结果。台词 she'll wind up fat, alcoholic and miserable 就是「她最后会落得又胖又酗酒，还凄惨」。
字面是「投去一眼」，意思是「看一眼、留意一下」。Isn't there anybody who could cast an eye in her direction? 就是问「这附近就没谁能朝她那边看一眼吗？」。
意思是「躲起来、别被看见」，是紧张时的催促。台词 Come on, get out of sight 就是「快，躲起来」，常在这种要暴露的瞬间用。
