Cooper Stumbles Into Secret NASA, Explained: the best-kept secret in the world
Cooper and his daughter stumble into a facility that shouldn't exist, and the man in charge demands to know how they found it: "Nobody stumbles in here. Nobody stumbles out." Cooper wants assurances he can leave; instead he learns this is a secretly rebuilt NASA.
What happens
Cooper and Murph wander into a hidden facility and are confronted by Professor Brand, who wants to know how they got in. Cooper refuses to explain until he is promised he can leave. Brand reveals the place is NASA, rebuilt in secret, and then lays out the blight that is killing Earth's crops.

What's really going on
The scene works as a negotiation wrapped in a reveal. Cooper is the intruder, but he refuses to answer questions until he gets something in return, forcing the scientist to bargain.
