這是沃倫寫給資助孩子恩杜古的另一盤錄影。他整晚自問 Who is this old woman who lives in my house?（住在我家裡的這個老太婆是誰？），接著一條條數落妻子海倫：掏鑰匙太早、把錢花在可笑的小收藏上、食物沒過 expiration date（保質期）就扔、愛試新餐館、還老 cut me off（打斷我說話）。說到女兒珍妮，他語氣一變，誇她愛學各國語言、會 get by（勉強應付）德語，永遠是 She'll always be my little girl（她永遠是我的小女兒）；可是一提到珍妮的未婚夫蘭德爾，他又斷定這小子 not up to snuff（不夠格）。最後他出門寄信，在甜品店點了一杯暴風雪。

up to snuff，通常說 not up to snuff。沃倫覺得未來女婿配不上女兒，就用這句下判斷。
不是。它是「從…裡得到很大樂趣、特別來勁」，後面接名詞或動名詞：get a kick out of languages 就是特別愛學語言。
不太禮貌，意思是「過了最好的年紀、已過巔峰」。沃倫私下對養子說女兒 a little past her prime，其實是替她著急。
expiration date。食物過了這個日期就是 has passed the expiration date，口語裡也常直接說 it's expired。
