Capítulo 2 de 13 · 7'15"
In a game where everyone repeats the same day, Guy breaks his order and asks for a cappuccino, baffling the barista and the cop. "Ha! I'm just keeping you on your toes," he says. It is the first sign that this NPC is not sticking to the script.
Guy Jokes His Way Through the Day
Guy lives the same day on loop: the same coffee, the same bank robbery, the same NPC routine. Today he orders something different, shocking the barista and Officer Johnny. Then at the bank he refuses to lie down, takes on the robber, and the game's makers notice an NPC did the impossible.
The scene is the first crack in the loop. Guy asks for a cappuccino instead of his usual coffee, and the reaction is the joke: in this world, even a small choice is a violation. "Ha! I'm just keeping you on your toes." is his cover, and it lands because no one here knows what to do with a character who changes. The bank robbery repeats the point with force: the NPCs are supposed to lie down, and Guy does not. By the time the developers see the footage, the question is no longer funny but technical — "The guy was smoked by a non-playable character." The scene sets up the whole story by showing one free choice in a city built on routine.

Guy refuses to lie down as usual. He takes the robber's sunglasses and fights back instead of accepting the role of the victim, which should be impossible for an NPC.
They find footage of a player killed by an NPC, which cannot happen in the game. It tells them that something in Free City has gone badly wrong.
It means keeping someone alert and ready. Guy uses it as an excuse after surprising the barista, pretending his strange order was just a joke.
